The Peek-a-Book large desk consists of an extremely simple sheet of poplar plywood covered in Pelle Frau® leather which is curved and folded in two to form the base and the desktop, as well as to accommodate two drawers. The base structure consists of an easel made from triangular-section solid ash in a moka or wenge stain which forms three trapezium-shaped supports connected to each other with fine joints created in the wood. The front of the two drawers is in MDF covered in Pelle Frau® leather matching the upholstery of the top, while the internal structure is made from solid ash in a wenge stain.
Designed by Roberto Lazzeroni, the Peek-a-Bookdesk embodies all of the typical elegance and comfort of a Poltrona Frau office, ushering it into the domestic setting. Lazzeroni envisages a generous work surface and a design that revisits the materials, warmth and style of his residential collections while at the same time guaranteeing all of the functions of a “genuine” office desk.
