A faceting effect livens up and interrupts the cubism that sets the morphology of the West system apart from the clich?s of modern design. Characterised by its suitability for use in a wide range of different contemporary and traditional arrangements, West also features glints of pure creativity, such as the chaise-longue, available in pentagonal or hexagonal form and the elements that stand out for their striking backrests in saddle hide, ergonomically shaped to rise and support the rear cushion.

True elements of surprise, they break up the compositional layout, creating a stylistic point of interest, and interrupting the continuous effect of the fabric covering, visually lightening the volume at the rear. A solution designed to optimise both look and form, created with the know-how about design and the savoir-faire associated with fine tailoring that have always distinguished the Minotti brand.

Every element of the system is made with exquisite goose down padding to ensure maximum comfort, features cushions finished with a piping that defines their profile and a distinctive aluminium strip, slightly rounded at the edges which skims the floor, in a brand new polished Brandy colour finish.

Structure

Solid wood with suspension provided by high-rubber-content elastic webbing. The seat structure is coated in high resilience, variable density polyurethane foam with a concave contour to accommodate the cushion, maximizing durability thanks to the reversibility. Armrests and backrests encased in channeled goose down quilting for added fluffy softness. The lower part of the structure features four brushed and polished extruded aluminium strips, 47×6 mm section (exclusive Minotti design), in a brand new Brandy colour finish.

Headrest

Made of variable-density polyurethane foam, covered with quilted goose down divided into sections and fi xed to the frame by means of a strip. The cushion cover can be supplied in the fabrics or types of leather available in the pattern book. If the material of the cushion cover is not specified in the order, it will be co-ordinated with the sofa cover. Removable covers.

Cushions

Backrest cushions have channeled goose down padding (Assopiuma certified, Gold Label) with structural core insert in soft polyurethane foam. Seat cushions are completely reversible, with channeled goose down padding (Assopiuma certified, Gold Label) and core insert made of high resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam wrapped in a layer of Memory Foam.

Covers

Seat cushions, backrest cushions and structure covers are completely removable in all versions (fabric and leather). To remove upholstery from the structure, first remove the four extruded aluminium strips. Rests on standard adjustable Black feet, 45 mm H, with nylon slides.

OPTIONAL FEET HEIGHT

Available upon request, with no surcharge, adjustable 75 mm H feet (3 cm higher than standard feet). This option must be specified at the time the order is placed. Failure to indicate the option will result in mounting of standard height (45 mm) feet.

WEST SADDLE-HIDE

Armrests and backrests are made with an internal, contoured, padded rigid metal structure upholstered in saddle-hide, available in the following colours: Mud, Dove Grey, Moka, Ash and Black. The saddle-hide structure features hand-finished perimeter stitching.

N.B.

To facilitate transport and removal of covers, the armrests can be removed from the base by means of a quick coupling and uncoupling system. First remove the four extruded aluminium strips from the piece. The “Brandy” finish, developed by Minotti Studio and distributed exclusively, is obtained from an extremely high quality craftmanship that highlights the polished brushing of the aluminium including possible natural shades that make each piece unique.
