Inspired by the world of hi-fi speakers, the freestanding Lloyd Tex bookcase, designed by Jean-Marie Massaud, plays with transparency and lightness using panels in Techno-fabric, a semi-transparent technical fabric in Light and Dark tones. The panels slide along invisible horizontal tracks, creating ever-changing sequences. In Lloyd Tex, advanced technology meets traditional materials like wood, in a delicate balance between different material spirits. The play of solids and voids becomes even more apparent, allowing a glimpse of the contents without fully revealing them. The feet are made of steel.
Lloyd Tex is available in different combinations of widths and heights, to furnish anything from modern home environments and the largest living rooms to smaller spaces, also making the double-sided bookcase a functional spacedivider.
