Inspired by his many trips to Japan, the Daiki seat, part of the collection since 2020 in both indoor and outdoor versions, is the expression of the Brazilian architect’s passion for Japanese culture and is now available in an office version.

Made using sophisticated wood crafting techniques, the curved body is composed of two elements joined at a 45° angle, which guarantee maximum comfort. In Dark Brown stained palisander Santos, or Black-coloured open-pore lacquered flamed ash wood, the body provides a snug fit for the cushioning.

Daiki Studio is available in five versions, designed for different functions and uses.

Structure

In beech plywood with flamed ash veneer with open-pore Black colour lacquer finish, or in palisander Santos*, stained Dark Brown with polyester matt lacquer finish. Crafted on CNC machines and assembled with dowel joinery. Armrests in aluminium sheet coated in integral skin polyurethane foam and upholstered in fabric or leather.

Cushions

Seat and backrest cushions are in channelled goose down and undergo routine sanitization as specified in EC Regulation No. 1069/2009 (Assopiuma Gold Label certified), with core insert in high-resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam. Upholstery for the armchairs is always, in both the leather and in the fabric-upholstered versions, embellished with top-stitching, except for the EXECUTIVE version, which always has, in both the leather and in the fabric-upholstered versions, a light quilted motif accompanied by top-stitching. The seat and backrest cushions are joined by a zipper.

Covers

Armrest, seat and backrest cushion upholstery, in both fabric and leather, is completely removable. Unscrew armrests from the structure to remove the upholstery.

ARMCHAIRS WITH BASE AND CASTERS (cm 74×76 H91 / 74×74 H83)

Base: gas lift cylinder and spokes made of varnished polished steel with anti-fingerprint Bronze colour finish. Rests on 5 swivel casters, 5 cm ?, with 360° swivel. Caster support and centre in polyamide, outer sleeve in thermoplastic polyurethane. The seat is equipped with a tilt mechanism (no lock option) that allows the seat and backrest to be tilted at the same time. A lever under the seat adjusts seat height. 360° swivel without return.

ARMCHAIR WITH BASE AND FEET (cm 74×74 H87)

Base: upright, spokes and feet in steel with varnished polished anti-fingerprint Bronze colour finish. 360° swivel with return. Equipped with black protective felt slides and black polyethylene glides.

“LEGS” ARMCHAIRS (cm 74×74 H87 / 74×76 H77)

Legs: made of aluminium plate, varnished polished anti-fingerprint Bronze colour finish. Bronze colour protective SEBS glides.
