The distinctive characteristic and inspiration behind the Belt family, designed in the all-fabric or leather versions, is the idea of a belt that draws the profile of the body, encircling it, then breaking off and fastening on the front of the seat.

In particular, in the leather version, the strip is sewn onto a piece of bonded leather to lend support and ensure a consistent thickness: it is applied to the covering as a belt is applied to a dress and an ultra-sophisticated crafting process is required to follow the curved shape of the seat and keep the visible seams perfectly straight and even.

With its classic shape, the foam body designs a shell-like, enveloping backrest that welcomes and protects.

Structure

In aluminium with high-rubber-content elastic webbing, coated in fire-resistant polyurethane foam and covered with breathable heat-bonded fibre laminated to white hypoallergenic cotton fabric for additional softness. A distinctive design feature, a belt-like insert, outlines the contours of the seat; when upholstered in leather the «belt» is always made with strips of leather, using the same techniques as those for fine luggage, joined by means of fine hand-finished stitching. The upholstery for the seat shell is crafted by joining the various pieces of fabric with a strip of cotton gros-grain, the colour will be chosen by the factory. In the leather-upholstered version the stripe is in the same leather as the upholstery.Two zippers located under the seat where the belt ends meet facilitate removal of the upholstery.

Cushions

Seat cushion in heat-bonded fibre with core insert in high-resilience polyurethane foam laminated to white hypoallergenic cotton fabric. All of the seat cushions in the Belt series are reversible.

Covers

Cushion and structure upholstery are completely removable in all versions (fabric and leather).

Legs

Available in the following finishes:
— in Canaletto walnut, stained Dark Brown with matt polyester lacquer finish;
— in flamed ash, Black open-pore lacquer finish;
— varnished polished cast aluminium with anti-fingerprint Brandy colour finish. Equipped with black protective felt slides and black polyethylene glides.
